A little bit about me.

| The short story
I’m Sarah, a UI/UX designer looking to spark joy in people’s daily lives through meaningful digital experiences. I’m a forward thinker and enjoy designing end to end, from user research all the way to development. My best work happens when I’m crafting solutions within a collaborative team that doesn’t shy away from pushing boundaries.
| The long story
Growing up, I had my sights fixed on a career as an engineer. It wasn’t until I dabbled in user-centered design during my undergraduate studies that I fell in love with it. It was the perfect blend of technology, creativity, and the ability to connect with the people on the other side of the screen. I knew that if I didn’t explore this field further, I’d always have a lingering "what if?” in the back of my mind.

Three years and many late nights later, I’ve earned both my degree in Artificial Intelligence and my Google UX Design certificate. These separate yet intricately linked backgrounds come together to enable me to speak the language of engineers and designers alike.

Prior to my pursuit of UI/UX Design, I’ve worked for consultancies, startups, research institutes, and nonprofits. Most recently, I collaborated with Aquapitas on Zeppelin, a tool to help residents such as you and I identify and remove lead water pipes from our communities. Check out the case study here!
